Phase 3
Phase Three is the final phase of the clinical program. The average length of time for clients in Phase Three is 90 days. Phase Three clients must meet the following criteria and goals prior to graduation from the program:
Complete, as per assigned counselor's instructions, Steps 9, 10, 11, and 12 Continue to use and work with a 12-Step sponsor Attend at least three (3) 12-Step meetings per week outside off-premises and maintain continuing documentation of attendance Continue saving money using the savings account created in Phase Two. Phase Three clients must save a minimum of $600 in order to graduate Punctually attend all groups and meetings Develop a personalized Relapse Prevention Plan Complete all treatment assignments as per the assigned counselor Stay current on all client service fees Begin Discharge Planning with the assigned counselor within the first month in Phase Three. Phase Three clients should be a minimum of 90 days clean and sober upon entrance to Phase Three. Clients should have a home group and a working relationship with a 12-Step sponsor. Phase Three clients no longer need passes to leave the property, but they must still sign in and out each time they leave the premises. Overnight passes may be granted in this phase, but must be reasonable and are at the discretion of the client's assigned counselor. Phase Three clients may also have a car with approval by clinical staff. Phase Three clients are expected to give back and be positive role models for the newcomers in the O'Brien House program.
